14. Date 6/4. I leam from letter received yesterday that you have sold all the Persian, Pig Sugar and No. 2 Lam Kei. Persian opium must be kept in stock after boiling to ensure good quality, if it is prepared on the spur of the moment hurriedly the vield of prepared opium is low and the quality is bad, so please remit several thousand dollars French currency so that I may be able to have a stock ready to hand.I can have a stock of Persian prepared opium ready by the end of the month. I have at present a stock of Lam Kei No. 2 ready to hand.
